Mums are such a fun flower this time of year, I love the rich colors. These mums are particularly nice and certainly display analogous colors. Beautiful! I found it hard to match colors of compliments when it came to tertiary colors (is this the right yellow for this purple? for example.) I wasn't as adventurous as you were with my green and red. I went with a green and red that were as close to primary colors as possible. Nice job with the sunflower.
If you had taken a macro of the mum bloom alone w/o the blue/green background it would have been a perfect analogous color scheme, yes. The blue/green background though makes it a split compliment: orange and blue are opposites.

I see these as all yellows, but I can tell there are different shades of it. I would say there is a nice, slow gradient to this photo.
