The top is the altered one, I added some contrast to get the back ground a bit darker and it also brought out the shadows more. With the darker background I think it helps to focus on the Seagull more and enhances him more.

The top two are edited, I had fun playing with these! the first one Is color negative and I thought it was really neat and wanted to share. The second one I added Strong saturation which really brightened up all the colors, some almost to much but at the same time it enhanced the reflection off the water
In the first picture, I was amazed as to what can happen by adding some contrast - it changed the whole look. Also, picture number two - I liked the second example best - where contrast really made the colors pop
ReplyDeleteThe seagull photo is amazing. The color in the edited version is so much more vibrant. The same goes for the second version of the fishing photo. I also checked out your previous weeks work which looked great too.
ReplyDeleteI'm noticing that a lot of people did subtle changes to their photos. I think that really looks nice, increasing the depth of these photos. Unedited, they look washed, edited they look crisp. I'm impressed.
ReplyDeleteThe bird one is such a big improvement. It really looks good, nice job. I also like the one of the little guy fishing and the colors you choose to use the purple and orange are beautiful together.
ReplyDeleteAdding contrast by upping the saturation to the fishing photo really makes it pop. For the seagull the contrast might be a little too much pop, you could select just the background or just the gull and up the saturation and you might get a little less sharp-edged look.
